Jothidam.lk (also reachable at Jothidam.com) provides Tamil astrology services. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

• Contact details: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, country and preferred language.
• Birth details needed for the service you choose: names, dates, times and places of birth.
• Documents you upload, such as existing horoscopes or previous reports.
• For certain Kaandam readings only, and only with your explicit consent: a thumbprint image.
• Payment records (amount, status and the payment provider's reference). We never receive or store your card number.
• Basic technical logs (IP address, browser) used for security and fraud prevention.

Why we use it

• To prepare and deliver the services you order.
• To contact you about your order, including requests for more information.
• To process payments and refunds, and meet legal and accounting obligations.
• To protect our website and customers from fraud and abuse.

Who can see it

Your birth details, documents and reports are accessible only to the authorised staff assigned to your order and to administrators who manage orders. We share payment information with our payment provider and email delivery details with our email provider, solely to provide the service. We do not sell personal information.

How we protect it

• All connections use HTTPS.
• Documents and reports are stored in private storage and are never available at public web addresses.
• Download links expire after a short time and require verification of your order.
• Staff access is role-based and important actions are logged.

How long we keep it

We keep order records and reports for up to two years after completion so you can re-download them, unless the law requires longer retention for payment records. Thumbprint images are deleted within 30 days of the reading being completed. You may ask us to delete your information earlier.

Your choices and rights

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete your information.
• Withdraw consent for optional processing (for example, thumbprint use) — this may affect services we can provide.

Analytics and cookies
